SureFire GX3 Gaming SSD review
SureFire GX3 Gaming SSD review
Surefure GX3 is an external SSD for gamers. You can tell just by seeing it. And while you might have never heard of Surefire before, you might know the company behind this brand. This is Verbatim, which makes many storage products and has been done reliably for decades.
On paper GX3 Gaming SSD Sersd does not sound very impressive. This is a SATA drive, not a faster nvme type, and even among the SATA SSD peak speed is not close to setting new records.
However, its performance is very consistent. Surefire GX3 Gaming SSD is perfect those who want to archive the game from their Xbox Series X or PS5 without buying an internal SSD expansion card or Seagate. And the last-game game runs directly from this drive well.
We want to see prices reach a little lower, considering you can buy SATA SSD that perform better like the crucial MX500 and a separate caddy for less. But Surefire GX3 Gaming SSD is a good purchase for those who want an increase in zero headaches for their game consoles.
Price and availability
SSD GX3 Surefire GX3 is available in the United Kingdom and Europe at the time of the review, and comes in two capacities: 512GB and 1TB. We review the “bigger” version.
You must be careful when shopping for an agreement. Surefire also makes a mechanical hard drive version also called GX3. This is significantly cheaper, but it won’t be close as fast.
Design
SSD Gaming GX3 Surfire SSD is 2.5in SATA SATA externally usually licked gamer paint. The form and size is largely determined by the type of SSD used here.
It’s much bigger than some ultra-portable SSDs that you will find online, like Samsung T5. However, SATA SSD in this form seems to produce very little heat compared to the latest ultra-fast nvme drives.
Two parts here provide a taste of gamers. First, there is a light of light to the plastic casing. Looks lid and you will see a small box that forms the pattern engraved with a small line series. By changing the square direction to the square, the SSD GX3 GX3 Surefire ends it looks like a moody disco ball that moody when catching light.
The actual reflectivity is minimal, thoughts, so it won’t dazzle – it’s a good thing.
